Call Box Radar?
Has anyone else noticed that the call boxes on 280 now emit K band radar?
It's sooo annoying.

is it just to distract those of us with detectors?
they don't have radar-enabled call boxes on 1. wouldn't that interfere with the piggies' radar guns? unless they're using Ka. for that matter, I've never gotten a real radar contact on 280, i think they prefer the tailgate-speedometer method.

When did you get a radar detector?!
The CHP uses Ka band. K band is usually from stationary speed warning thingers, small town police cruisers, automatic door detectors, and now call boxes. :(

thought i told you long ago... i got a val1 ages ago. i need to figure out how to make it ignore X, grocery doors set that off like a mofo.
i dont find it to be useful in the bay area, but i bought it for use on the 5, where it has already "paid for itself".
